Creamy bacon mushrooms thyme chicken

Hi,
Creamy Bacon Mushroom Thyme Chicken is honestly one of the best skillet meals you will ever make! Tender chicken with a creamy sauce with bacon, mushroom, and thyme. Ingredients (serves 4)
  • 4 bone in chicken thighs
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  • Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • some butter
  • 250 g of mushrooms
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp of fresh thyme
  • 250 ml of cream


Full recipe (serves 4)

Season 4 chicken thighs with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
Put a skillet on medium high heat and add 1 tbsp of olive oil and some butter.
Brown the chicken thighs.
Flip them and season the other side.
Brown both sides.
Add some water, lower the heat, put lid on and cook +/- 30 min till the chicken is tender.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and remove the fat aswell.
Add another tbsp of olive oil and some butter.
Add 250 g of mushrooms, sliced and bake until soft.
Then add 250 ml of cream, pepper and salt to taste, 1 tsp of garlic powder and 1 tbsp of fresh thyme.
Let it thicken for a couple of minutes.
Add the chicken and heat it a couple more minutes.

I served it with French fries !
